HOW TO: ILLUSTRATOR
Adobe Illustrator is a program for people to create vector diagrams.
I will take you through it step by step. If you don't understand or want a little more detail then I will link the youtube video after the steps.
Step 1:
First things first is to get a picture and lock it into Illustrator. To do that you need to go on to Illustrator and click 'file' then 'new' and then finally 'place'. After submitting your picture and putting it where you wish click 'object' then 'lock' and lastly 'selection'. This will lock your picture so it won't move whilst tracing.
Step 2:
Speaking of tracing, that's the next step. You must simply click the 'paintbrush' and trace over the outline, the shadows and any detail needed.
Step 3:
This is the part where you manoeuvre your mistakes. Yes, if you make a mistake, maybe it's wobbily or you need to connect the lines in order to colour (which is the next step), you can easily move it to make it set your standard. You simply click the 'Direct Selection Tool' which is the pointer arrow of the right of your tools (hover over the tools if you can't find it) and click on the line you wish to move. this will allow you to make it straighter, curlier or anything you need. I have used the youtube video that is linked below for the first three steps because when we made this page I was half way through.
Step 4:
Now it's time for colouring. The edges must be connected in order for it to work. After it's connected, you click the 'Live Paint Bucket' and select the colour you wish. You then click the inside of the line and it should be able to fill that space with colour.

As you can see, this is my Audrey Hepburn. If you were wondering, yes, I added her bun because it annoyed me. Anywho, this is me, halfway through colouring Audrey. To say I'm proud is an understatment. This is the first time I've used Illustrator and it doesn't look rubbish.

This is my finished product! It's so cool!
