COLLAGES
Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was our first task. We had to get one of his photographs and use a craft knife to cut out photos of different things. We then added them to Ansels photograph amd made a collage of our choice.

David Hockney

Our next task was David Hockney. The first thing we had to do was choose between the Queen and a man we decided to call Steve. I chose Steve so I then created a collage using the style of David Hockney. After that, we had to take pictures of our partners and then they made a collage of themselves. I made two collages. One of them was slightly silly and the other one was normal.

Self Assessment
What have you done?
We have made a photo collage using a black and white landscape photograph by Ansel Adams. We also cut around the items provided for me, using a craft knife.
How have you done it?
We used two different photographs and merged them together to form another photograph.
What inspired you?
To be honest, I just really like focalpoint… its really cool how everything’s black and white then there is one splash of colour. I usually get my ideas from accounts on Instagram or Pinterest.
What else did you try?
I tried to put a clock on my picture but it clashed with one of the other pictures because they look so alike. In the end I didn’t use it.
Why is it successful?
I don’t really know but I like how its black and white then there’s a strawberry ice cream attracting your eyes to the photograph.
